Wonderful, a great size for this beaute !~
Very awesome looking cockerel here, he looks so fiery and full of life. Kinda reminds me of...some Asian pieces? Or...the Chinese Zodiac?!
He's so beautiful and regal and definitely makes such an eye catching piece!

Thank you Oroyoroy for your super compliment, this amberina (red-orange-gold) color glass is really a standout and one of my favorites
Phil thank you for your awesome praise, this rooster is quite large & heavy, often found in the older glass animals by LE Smith and their sculpted detail was so great
You're so right Lauren it is actually very Asian looking, with the flouncy tail & neck it is quite like pictures of the exotic birds that Asian art showcases so well. I too love that fiery amberina color, it really highlights the fighting look of the bird. Thank you for your fabulous compliments
Scott thank you for your wonderful praise for this big guy, he was a great find for me because the minute I saw it I knew I had to have it, amberina is such a gorgeous color glass & hard to find in animals, plus a truly vintage LE Smith design is a rarity - my laying down blue horse by them is another nice one. Speaking of horses, today is the Belmont Stakes by me, no triple crown but still exciting!
Nice Jenni..Great size..I was tempted to shorten cockerel..but thought better of it, :-))..
Penny thanks for my smile of the day!! I know, we have become so "PC" nowadays, I had to write the orig name in the description because it was printed in the book that way (pic #4). Oddly though, they still call it "cockfighting" when roosters square off! Love the comment thanks so much :)
Thank you Falcon61 for the love for this bright glass rooster, very glad that you liked it & grateful for your kind consideration
Great piece! The coloring just adds to its charm
MrsT thank you for your fabulous praise & love for this amberina rooster, he certainly stands out in that bold color & you can almost hear him crowing :) I hope you will enjoy one of my next animal posts this week, it is a co. I learned about from you that make such beautiful animals esp wild ones
