I believe this is a cigar box, but I maybe wrong. It's 6"W x 4"D x 2.5"H. It's clearly handcrafted with all of the tool marks and beautiful little imperfections. That said, it doesn't appear to have any identifying marks. Does anyone have any clues about this item?

Probably made in India. A trinket box. I have several in various sizes.

And from around the 70's possibly. Usually they had either purple or royal blue velvet lining, so this may be newer.
