    I have come across this plane and it has a Sandusky iron, but I am not able to find a Sandusky plane that looks like this one. I know a guy named Ellis made planes with diamond sole bottoms, but his name or patient date is not visible on this plane. I would appreciate anything you can tell me about this item.

      Roger smith,s book of patented planes notes that Ellis h Morris patented this plane in November 8, 1870, pat number 109,037. His example had w. Butcher / warranted / cast steel iron
