All three of these have clamping mechanisms that'd allow their pairs of wooden arms to hold onto the cuffs/legs of pants, allowing them to be hung neatly in the closet upside down. In all cases moving the hook in one direction releases a sprung mechanism, all are slightly different in engineering but perform the same function. "Manhattan" on the top one is probably advertising a store or clothing label, the middle one is unmarked but stamped "Made in Germany" on its wire hook, and the third has an insignia on both wood sides labeling it as "A Walker Product" with a patent number stamped on its little red metal portion.

I have some old clothes hangers, one of which is for hanging pants by the cuffs like yours.
I just checked to see if mine had a manufacturer’s name….mine does not.
Interestingly, I noted the gripping surfaces of mine are “serrated” to keep the garment from slipping…I had not noticed that before. Are yours like that “inside”?

      AnythingObscure, cool. :-)

      The patent:

Watchsearcher, I don't think that I currently have any like that, but I seem to recall some of those trouser hangers having a texture on the gripping surfaces.
