    The designs are similar to early Hitchcock chairs, but i've been told that this is considered a 'Fancy Chair', which is what Hitchcock Chairs were based on - i think. i found this at an antique store in NH on my vacation. It's completely painted. i think the arms are elm and the seat is white pine - i think - treated with cassein or something red.

      Missed this one due to photo— might want to change your photo #2 to the lead photo.

      Looks like might have been a conversion to a rocker— can’t see details well enough. Can you tell?

      Hi Scott. i have some better pics somewhere. i don't think it was a conversion. if so, then all the detailing would have to have been done over as well.
