    i think that this is for keeping bait fish or the catch in the basket. the middle photo shows the cone shaped basket insert to keep the fish in the basket. Any info appreciated.

      Fish trap for catching small fish. The fish can find their way in, but not the way out. Common in the Far East, Philippines, etc.
