Whippet or Italian Greyhound. i love these high strung, excitable dogs! Years ago, i was on my way to an important interview and i had on my favorite vintage suit and tie. i stopped by Dolores Park to walk my dog first and it had been raining. This whippet came running up to me and as i bent over, it shook it's little pay a million miles per second, covering me from head to toe w/ a very fine spray of mud. This piece is 21 inches high. Italian, maybe?

That dog really had to sit still for a long time when they made the mold for this sculpture. ;-) I suspect they used a mounted example for this.
Such a true-to-life sculpture.
i agree mp.kunst. i'll have to take another photo of it in the afternoon light. it looks amazing in the late afternoon at my nursery.
this remains one of my favorite pieces. It has a pride of place at my nursery.
