NMRA Silver Anniversary Boxcar

This boxcar was made by Athearn, for Roundhouse, as a commemorative Silver Anniversary car, for the NMRA. I bought it largely because I did not have one mint in the original box. I almost fell over, when I saw who it had belonged to. I'm sure you older guys remember Whit Towers, past NMRA President, MR staff member, long time modeller and author, etc.
When the NMRA Convention came to Kansas City, a few years back, I donated the car to their museum, where it now resides.
