In 1956, Carnation partnered with Athearn, in a mail in box top order type promotion, of their new drink mix. Athearn sold them his widely acclaimed F7 units, along with his recently introduced passenger car kits. These were offered at a significant reduction in price, when a box top from a drink mix package was enclosed with the order blank shown in the first photo. 4 cars, and an "A" and "B" unit (neither one powered) were offered. These featured the early construction, where the sides were seperate from the roof. They were shipped in plain cardboard folding boxes, and no mention of Athearn or Globe was made. This set was shipped to a D. E. Bayer, of Cliffside Park, N. J. , and I'm curious as to the age of Mr. Bayer.......
