      The Ten Commandments ???

It looks like the tablets of the ten commandments, and the text looks like it Hebrew.

Thanks but I am totally confused by the Ten Commandments link. Can you explain a bit more please.

I'm agreeing with y'all, even Steptoe1, by my lack of understanding of how the Hebrew writing translates - but I have seen many similar tablet-pairs incorporated into the designs and symbolism of all kinds of religious/sacred items in churches and temples, etc. I'd be rather certain this stone was once part of a religious jewelry item at least, and there might even be a decent chance it is something a tad bit 'finer' than just glass??! :-)
