strange history to these Torviscosa pieces

it was a ceramics school in a factory town where they made Viscose in the middle of nowhere, NE Italy

the interesting thing was that two of the teachers at the school were Angelo Biancini and Nino Strada, both who would later be famous sculptors / ceramists

Biancini has his own room in the Vatican Museum

I went to Torviscosa to see this huge Biancini ceramic sculpture hidden away in this factory town, seen by few but everything was closed up for Covid

they had their own Opera Theater there, general store + social club, it was a planned factory town and considered Fascist architecture at the time
