This is the second part of my old wood box post, linked below. I will try to combine the two posts when I have access to better software. It was quite a surprise when I opened the box and saw the interior. This must have been a pretty nice box before the exterior had about 100 years of wear.

Thanks PhilDMorris! There is quite a contrast between the inside and outside! Whatever it was used for must have been quite nonabrasive unless the rough exterior was by design. Looks like genuine wear on the outside to me, though.
