I also have one! It use to be my moms. I remember it was the only one she used when we went sledding as kids. I'm 55 and she was 88 as of February 28th 2022 when she passed. I believe it also was not American made.. because on my fathers side my great grandparents were French Canadian (I live in Michigan) and on my mothers side my great grandparents came from Germany which is neighbors to Switzerland. So when member Braveheart1954 mentioned possibly Swiss or Canadian made it make sense. Iam currently restoring it using member "moshel" photos as reference so I can make the boards. Mine was also like the other member Braveheart1954 where someone screwed a piece of plywood on it. However my mom put foam then vinyl upholstery over it so it was cushioned for her.
When I'm done adding boards like member "moshel" using some reclaimed cedar boards from my moms garage I will be adding her name down the center plank. " Betty Jean" I figured since no one knows the name of the sled I will use my moms.
Nice way to remember and honor your mom.
