    At least that's what I'll guess it was used for -- an ambulance, fire truck, or some other such vehicle. It is a chromed housing with a mounting bolt stud, holding a 5-1/2" diameter RED sealed beam floodlight bulb that operates on 6vdc, which would put it likely 1950's or earlier in age. Fortunately for me, probably, somebody before me had written "6 VT good" on its outside, so I didn't try to test it with default 12vdc from a modern vehicle (equivalent) which certainly would have changed its GOOD status to BAD in a literal flash...? <eeek><nono>

    There are no markings on its exterior, and I haven't taken it apart fully to see if there are any inside -- only enough to confirm the sealed-beam bulb vs. something else fixed behind a red lens. If anybody happens to recognize any specific thing about it, PLEASE speak up!!
