I found this beautiful doll at a yard sale for $1. I would love to know more about it, but can't find anything anywhere. It's in fabulous condition, with no chips anywhere. I can barely see the writing on the back of the neck, which I think says Maggie @ 1966. I would love to know more about this doll. He stands approximately 12" tall and appears to be made of porcelain bisque. Thank you!
Probably an artist doll. Maggie could be the name of the artist.

Yes he is a Magge Kane Head doll . Wonderful. Her molds could be found in ceramic studios you could paint, and they fired. She had character names for some of her dolls. Very nice.
