This was aquired by my great grandfather who was dutch from a man known to me as Doctor Phillips. My great grandfather was an architect who did some work for this man who had a great collection of art. He was told he could take one item from the collection and chose this to not seem overly greedy (could have had a valuable painting). It has no visible markings other than someones initials scratched into it. I have been told it is either dutch or swiss from around 1730. Can anyone tell me anything about it?
