    Hi,I found this dresser on the street is does show some wear /scratches but has all the original Hardware I believe the wood to be oak I haven’t seen to many lowboys with 5 drawers would love to know more info about this dresser like how old and is it oak thanks

      Your photo of the open drawer shows nice hand cut dovetailing. Would think the piece is very late 19th century.

      Drawer side and bottom and dresser back all appear to be pine. Can’t see the grain on any of the finished surfaces, but I am confident it is not oak.

      Also suspect your drawer pulls are replaced. While not unheard of it is unusual to use a pull like this where it over- hangs a finished surface (see top pulls especially).

      Sounds like the price was right— nice save!
