This is an old porcelain Russian cup, I bought it several years ago perhaps 10 so the details are not clear in my mind, to Dorita Ferrari or when the Belgrano Feria in Córdoba had the antiquarians stands. A few month ago, I found on the web a similar one marked….the pink one in the pictures, it corresponds to 1889 - 1917 Kuznetsov Dulevo factory mark, Kuznetsov company overtook in 1891 Gardner Verbilki factory (nowadays Dmitrovsky Porcelain Factory). In 1889 the new name of the company was - M.S. Kuznetsov Company for the Manufacture of Porcelain and Pottery Goods.
I do love the Art Nouveau style, with some overload detailed relieves, the colors, the motif inside the cup, the sinuous profile, and the contrast with the straight almost square golden handle… The plate seems large for a coffee cup. The manuscript figures on the back of both items surely correspond to the artisan that gilded and decorated the cup. Thanks a lot for any comment…. In the end, I found that some of the prettiest porcelain cups I have are Russian and that strikes my curiosity as how they arrive here in such a far place.
