This is A Hoosier Glass vase Diamond pattern That i Picked up This Past Weekend. One site told me It was made for Commercial use For Florists Shops To Use. and that it was not highly Collectable. Another site said Syndicate sales Began making Hoosier Glass Vases in 1979 and that it appears In both Clear And milk Glass. The Decorative Designs include Swirls, Diamond patterns And Dots or Bobbles. Thank Yall For Lookin! Have A blest Day!
These vases, along with milk glass vases always remind me of the ready-to-go flower arrangements sold in hospitals. I remember my older aunts and other older lady relatives with many of these in their cupboards. I think that is why I can't bring myself to like milk glass.
By the way, I've 'loved' this, because of the memories it brings. Happy memories of hand-picked flowers by little hands set in water. Happy memories of colorful kitchen cupboards, filled with polka-dot jelly glasses, plastic cowboy boot glasses, smiley mugs, and glasses with gold guild etched leaves. Memories of sad clean-outs of a deceased relative, with 4 or 5 of these going in the garbage (!).
Thank You Esther110! Sounds like a lot of good memmories and some not so good! I so remember my yellow and red plastic boot cup that I drank out of back In The 70s that bring fond memories of my grandmas's house.
