Last year my friends bought a house complete with some pretty old manky furniture and inherited all the stuff in the loft. The previous owner must have been a poster collector as he had a load of old posters and a 1940's calendar. My friends asked me to sell on Ebay for them (they don't have a computor) but I'm not sure its the best place? Can you advise please even with an idea of how much it could be worth?
They are a great couple who would do anything for anyone but with 6 kids money is very tight so I'd like to help them if I can.
The calender is huge on a hardboard background it starts in April 1940 and that page is quite dirty, as you can see, the picures are all victorian syle - some a little exotic!! and for the age it's in fantastic condition.
Any help you can give would be great. I'm not trying to sell it on here just after advice so I hope that dosent break any rules.
Thankyou
There is a collector for everything. Right now there is no cost to list on ebay (for 100 items) so I would list and see what the market does. Would love to see the posters, list four at a time, because they can be very lucrative. There are a number of poster collectors here. Good luck.
Thankyou, I didmt realise it was still free!! I've already listed the posters, last Sunday, two were pop posters (one of a Queen 1986 tour) the others were all 1980's posters, the funny thing is, all of them are dutch!!
So what price do you think I should start it at? And in what catagory? I started the posters at 99p except one I put on for a penny as it has some water damage, they all finish on Sunday. I'd like to do well for them.
Thankyou again
Check the archives and see what they have been selling for. In the States it's free until the 7th.
