    Not sure just what this was used for. Resembles some current medical devices for draining fluids. Could also be related to embalming if attached to a pump. Thoughts and comments welcomed.

      I'd also guess an antique medical device of some kind, just because it looks (scary enough) like it could have been one. I didn't really know sterling silver (I'm assuming that's what its marking seem to show?) was a metal commonly used to make such things, but then again could be logical if its old enough to be 'pre surgical-stainless'...they had to make those things out of *something* that wouldn't rust back then, after all...??

      I could be an instrument for placing a chest tube to relieve a pneumothorax (free air in the chest causing a collapsed lung).
