This item, I assume is a metal compact. I don't know for sure. It always intrigued me because the top feels like mosaic. I also liked the flowers around the bottom section. It has a crack through the mosaic but can only be seen in certain light. I think it is from the 1950's, but am not sure. It looks as though it should have had a mirror on inside top. I don't see any identifying marks on it. Does anyone have any information on this?
