A lovely example of a deerskin circa 1780-1820’s antique trunk. The nails appear to be hand-forged with a typical rosehead pattern. I don’t come across these too often so it’s a welcome addition to my collection!

Beautiful old trunk! Nice find! I love these older ones with the hand forged nails, and all of the brass tacks on this one really add to it.
