Herczfeld Paintings

Set of paintings by J Herczfeld that we’re given to me by my grandmother. I’m lucky enough to own four of HER beautiful paintings that she gave my Granny decades ago. My Granny was the supervisor of Fitzgerald Underwear (now Berlin Corp) in Tifton, Georgia from the 50s-early 80s. During that time, there was a German engineer that came to help them set up some new machines. The engineer brought his wife, J Herczfeld, with him and they stayed for several weeks at the Holiday Inn in Tifton. To pass time during the day while her husband worked, Mrs. Herczfeld would paint. She quickly became friends with my Granny and gifted her six paintings. There was a duplicate set of this pair, which I have shared with a family friend that admired my set.
