These 2 plaques are possbly the last 2 ever made by Barbed Wire Hall of Fame inductee John Mantz. I supplied the wire and he made them in 2003. The most valuable is the "Richards Square Rail with Spike Sheet Metal Barbs" @ $360 retail.

Thank y'all for the compliments! I have a lot of the wires that are posted by barbedwireguy and gatekeeper. Even though I've been out of collecting for 3 years, it makes me feel proud that I accumulated what I did.

You have a great collection. Where did you pick up such mighty fine wires? When can we see the other goodies in your collection? John did a great job on the displays, thanks for sharing them with the cyberworld collectors. Have you taken them to any wire shows? What part of the country do you hail from?

I would have to thank J. Goedert & D. Sowle for my collection. My plaque #8 ($3,500 most valuable) made it to the 2002 New Mexico Show and plaque #6 was at the 2003 sympossium. I need to get my hands on a digital cam before I can take more pics and, San Jose, CA. to answer all your questions.

Beautiful collection of wires that you have. I've got a plaque made by this same man. My friend gave it to me and said John Mantz made it for his dad. It says down in the lower corner. Made for Joel Judge by John Mantz 1987.
