A friend found this thrifting flea market shopping in Virginia over 10 years ago. When I laid eyes on it I told her I loved it so much she seen how I admired it and said it was too big for her place and she let me buy it off of her. At one time it had a little more jewels than what was on it the jewels looked to be turquoise possibly Ruby that might have even been other stones but I can't be quite sure I just admired it and loved its beauty I have a later found out that it has hieroglyphics all over it and the round part is a sun face. The talk that we've come to is that it's a bed warmer for Giants. It's huge and quite heavy it would not be easy for one person to lift up and put in a bed it stands about 5 ft tall and the top part is pretty thick and round not like a handle it had chains on the top which looks like itsto come
off. However the item cannot be hung by the chains it's too heavy and the top falls off. I am unsure of the type of metal I thought it was brass or copper type but possibly could be silver. People told me that it could definitely be a religious piece used at churches to burn incense. I have not taken exact measurements I would guess it's 2 ft wide and about 5 ft tall and probably 10 in thick. I was unsure what category to put it in because I do believe it's Egyptian and I do believe it's a type of religious item but those categories were not listed so I listed it the best I could to them. Any inside is greatly appreciated. It does not have a door to open up anywhere else the stem part does detach from the circle part however I don't think it was meant to do that.

Welcome to CW, Canavanbaby. I think you will get some answers here from nice folks. :^)

I’m not seeing anything that makes me think “Egyptian “.
What I see are characters, maybe from a fairy tale/children’s story. The character’s heads look like rabbits, a wolf maybe, and some other animal.
The large circular design looks like the sun with leafy designs.

I do not see the chains or any attachments for chains. Since you are allowed 4 pictures, please add another one showing the back side.

Did you check the bottom for markings/names/numbers? If there are any be sure to show a picture of that also.
If you need to show more that 4 pictures, you will have to make a second post following up on this one.
Whatever your item is, it’s interesting and attractive. I’m hoping you get it identified here.

Also, here’s the trick to make your pictures oriented right side up: just “edit” each picture by changing the margins a bit, then edit your post and replace each picture with the newly edited versions. Each picture will then be right side up on your CW post.

There is nothing Egyptian, maybe you just want to see that, but trust me there. I do think looking at the detail or sketchiness of it, it appears to be Indian. They make a lot of silver items with a little crude carving like on this one. Have it checked to see if it is silver.
