Very Old Wood Carving of Hindu God Ganesha

Found on a recent hunt. Had no idea what it was, just looked interesting. From my research it is a (probably very old) wood carving of the Hindu god Ganesha. I've been rummaging and picking for at least 20 years just for fun. I've started up again with more interest and vigor and have been finding some really neat stuff. Even a Colima dog the other day. But this piece here is quite special and I would love to know more about it. Great to be a part of this collector community!
