Picked this up at the Rose Bowl and freed him from his prison last night. These were sold by Walmart and Hot Topic in 2006. I found out too late about these but I was able to pick up a couple sets at Walmart back then but this one. These were faithful reproductions of the originals. This one was originally from around 1974 I believe.
Now as for this figure this one came with the wrong uniform. This one is wearing the Sea Adventurer uniform which was a common error. Don't think it affects the value either way. The proper uniform is an orange jump suit so I am thinking this is better. Unlike the originals where the different service branches had random hair color the Adventure Team had specific hair colors. Air was blonde, Sea -red, Land-black and Team Commander- Brown. My favorite feature is that each comes with a shoulder holster and pistol. Made it worth my while to buy this as the shoulder holster and pistol are worth half the purchase price.
These were part of the 40th anniversary series. These and the Timeless series are desirable. The Classic Collection not so much. Out of scale weapons badly designed hands make those a chancy buy.
