The old Birmingham bull ring shopping centre, demolished in the late 1990s to make way for a new shopping centre, the old shopping centre was opened in 1964 by the duke of Edinburgh, first postcard dated November 1969 , second postcard dated 1972. Used to go there every Saturday morning and get fish from the fish market for parents and other fruit and vegetables from the outdoor stalls, used to go there on the bus from parents house in castle Bromwich , about 7 miles away and arrive around 11am and spend around 4 hours walking around the shops. My age then in 1969 was 22.
