      Welcome to CW!
I just bought a couple of keys on EBay from a shop called “furniture-knowledge”…..mine were for desk drawers, and cabinets from early 1900s. That site has many types of replacement keys.
I measured as best I could, just peering into the key hole with a flashlight and a millimeter ruler in hand…..my measurements and a bit of luck paid off and my keys worked perfectly!
Maybe that shop has a proper key for your chest.

I’m wondering if your chest was for maps and navigation equipment. The recess in the top probably was for small instruments which might otherwise roll around as the ship rolled.
