This 1917 letter is from Florenz Edward Ziegfeld Sr., father of the Broadway showman of the same name. It was sent to the wife of a prominent architect. Several boxes of the personal correspondence of this architect wound up in a local thrift shop and I picked out a few letters, including this one. The architect was prolific in his correspondence to many notable people, but this the only letter that I found written to his wife.
