I think that this is Rose Medallion since it is a mix of butterflies, flowers, etc and human figures in a domestic scene. The foot - which i didn't have room for, is pretty straightforward - 1880s/90s. I've picked up a few of these teapots in baskets and this is the best one by far.
Gorgeous teapot
adore both the pot and the weaven basket
thank you Newfld and kiva!
I have one almost identical, but no basket and it needs a new handle. But more to the point, you may know the fellow who carved my amber frogs??? Please do contact him and me..and when I have more time, I am certainly going to cruise your posts! FUN stuff.
Very nice to meet you!

Hello April. i have not been in touch with Richard Leavitt in around 15-20 yrs now. i'm not even sure how to reach him anymore and he doesn't visit the usa very often, if ever. he's elderly now. Regardless, the way he works is that he commisions pieces by local artisans. he doesn't actually make them himself.
