Washington Bullets Button Pin?
Approximately 3 1/2"
I bought this at a garage sale with other antiques. I originally bought it to hang in my safe. But after looking at it closer, I believe this is a vintage Washington Bullets button pin. I saw some other late 60s to early 70s sports pins on ebay and the size and clasp look similar. Looks handmade..you can see fingerprints and paint in the back. Possibly screen printed? Looks almost like it's clear coated..tried to give a close up.

OUT OF BULLETS
In about 1995, owner Abe Pollin started the process of renaming the team the Washington Wizards because of the violent overtones of the word bullet.
Have you looked closely on the very outer edge? Go around the whole circle, it may just be there, even if a date may have gotten stretched and it could be towards the back side! Hope you find it!
Thanks for the comments. Yes, that was the first thing I did. There is nothing..you can see the orange paint spilled on the rim and thumb prints in paint on the back. Obviously not mass produced.
Oh you sure can! Lol. They were probably upset at themselves for that!!!
