I thought this was a pretty good find considering it is over 100 years old and still has the leather frog. It is an ersatz bayonet for the Mauser rifle. If a soldier lost or broke their original bayonet, they would be given one of these. It is a bit crude but far above the quality of a souvenir knife. The blade quality is actually good. It, the blade that is, is 12 inches long the handle is solid metal, but it still feels comfortable in the hand. It has an open mounting ring. Not sure if the regular bayonet had that. The leather frog has intact stitching although it could use so leather conditioner.
Not sure what is coming tomorrow but it will probably be from a car show and will probably be Corvettes.
Void of marks ? Has that Hungarian look to me.
BB2 it is also possibly Austrian thus also possibly Hungarian.
