Very cute, reminds me of the sort of carved bird you'd see in a cuckoo clock. He's very attentive and even looks musical- I think he's madly serenading a lady bird somewhere...^^
Thank you all so much for the love

Thanks Searching for your wonderful praise, I know, so cool to find a book piece - this bird is actually in @ 3 glass books I have (one just on Viking Glass pre-1970) & because of its age I was really surprised nobody posted this particular bird before - including me lol :) You know I have lotsa Viking animals so I'm always thinking I've exhausted them, but then I come across one like this guy and it makes my day
Lauren you are totally right this looks like a cuckoo clock bird, or one in a rotating music box - perhaps it's those round eyes and upturned nose that give him a toy-like look. I adore the image of him serenading a lady friend that's so sweet! Thank you as ever for your awesome comment & super insight
It's a simple shape but a good one, and very different to most glass birds
Of course she is also that beautiful colour
Thank you Karen for your wonderful praise/love for my Viking bird here, it is a different type bird with its nose pointed to the sky! And I really love amber glass though with Viking animals, there is always dark shading no matter how much light you give them, however they're always beautifully designed
Many thanks everyone for the love
