Just picked up two scrapbooks for the 1932 Yankees. The whole season, every game, cartoons, pictures and 45 ticket stubs are in these two books. Ticket stubs include Exhibition game with the Dodge before the season started, a ticket to listen to the first game of the season, opening day ticket at Yankee stadium, the game where Gehrig got 4 HRs, and tickets for 14 of Ruth's homers!
Absolutely in awe and the handwriting of the maker is beautiful too! What an amazing piece of history!
That is outstanding, where did you find it ?
It was found just in the suburbs just outside NYC. Stuck in a box in the attic for decades and forgotten.
The tickets so far include:
1 - 1929 NYY ticket
1 - 1931 NYY ticket where Gehrig hit a home run
1 - 1932 Brooklyn Dodgers vs. Yankees pre-season exhibition game ticket
15 - 1932 NYY tickets (including opening day ticket, 6 HR from Ruth, 1 HR from Gehrig, 1 HR from Foxx, the season opener, and lefty Gomez’s 4th straight shutout
7 - 1932 NYG tickets (including 2 Ott HRs and opening day ticket)
16 - 1933 NYY tickets (including 3 HRs from Ruth, 3 HRs from Gehrig and a cycle from Mickey Cochrane
1 - 1933 NYG ticket
