I found this framed poster in NH last week. I really like the work of Winold Reiss and this is the largest one i have now. Not the greatest condition, but still nice and the oak frame is of the period and very nice as well. The glass had broken, so i will get another one cut soon. I should also add an acid-free backing between the print and the backing. The sticker is on the back, so i think this may have been produced and sold by the railway or one of it's vendors. I haven't found another one to compare it to online - others by Reiss, but not this one.
Nice find.
This is the info I could find on internet :
Great Northern Railway. 1953,
Evening Star Woman, Blackfeet Indian Princess, Glacier National Park, Montana by Winold Reiss,
unframed 16Wx18H,
Talio-Chrome Reproduction by Brown and Bigelow, St. Paul, USA
It use to be an illustation for a calender.
