Hello. I do have a question in regard to this decoy. I had seen few on the website advertised as wooden carving. The duck has hollow but, in my opinion, plastic sound when knocked on. I don't want to scrape it to find out as it already has some color ware. I cannot definitely say it's wood. Is it really circa, carved in some kind of plastic component? Or was it made much later? It has painted eyes. What year was it made and from what material.
Thank you. Any information are appreciated.

It seems odd that a real decoy would have the writing on the side. Here's one on ebay...the patina looks similar to yours and it has felt on the bottom.

It's "decorative" only, circa 1970s/1980s or so, made from a mold (not carved), and probably an import. And most likely, as you suspected, made from a plastic-type material.

Agree with canyonroad— this a modern decorative piece made from a resin material.

Dav2no1, CannyonRoad, and scottvez thank you for your helpful information. You had addressed my concerns right on the point. It is very unsettling that people allover the internet are posting items without doing any research on the items they sell. I am thankful for collects weekly and the ability to reach for experts advice.
