It is a turtle, but yet you have to examine every stone !~
That looks like a lovely citrine in the middle, the enamel parts of his shell are so pretty and do justice to what he is- a sea creature, sea colours etc. His head doesn't need to be designed either as his shell is so pretty it makes up for it!

I know Phil, a very non-traditional turtle, Monet decided to use white stones in a modernist form for the feet & head, yet the shell back has definition. Thank you for your great comment
Lauren you have a terrific eye, it definitely looks like a citrine stone in the middle, and I am in total agreement that the oceanic colored enamel makes the shell extra pretty. What's cool about this turtle is you can tell by the slight tilt which part is the head, quite creative I thought. Thanks for your fab comment & insight
