Jesse D. Bullock was a 29 year old machinist when he was commissioned a Lieutenant on 15 June 1861 into the 7th MA Infantry.

The 7th Massachusetts Regiment left the state in early July and spent most of the next eight months training in camps around Washington DC.

The regiment participated in the Peninsula Campaign in the Spring of 1862.

On 26 June 1862 in a small engagement near Seven Pines, VA ; LT Bullock was wounded and later died the same day.

Sixth plate tintype in full case. Bullock wears a state issue coat with US buckle and appears to have a holster/ pistol at his side.

My Father a WWII veteran took me to the state house in Boston in the early 50's on Veteran's Day. I meet a man who my Dad said was the oldest Civil War Veteran!! He told me he was a Drummer Boy. I just googled and Albert Woolson popped up, and it mentioned he was a a drummer Boy. I was born in England in 1946. I was 6 7 or 8 when I met him. It was always a memory I had.
