Hi all I come across this today, got it for free, I think it’s done in pastel, it’s signed John k baber , it says Bosco underneath the signature but I can’t read the rest.what country do u think this is?
It’s Switzerland
Thank you
I can see it says 87 after the signature. Maybe “Bosco——-“ is the name of that tidy little village.
It says something else after bosco but I can’t make it out
Yes….maybe a hyphenated name.
Thanks
I looked up Scottish village names. I cannot tell from the photo myself so look closely at your picture to see if the word could be “Glen”.
I so, “Bosco” would be a family name and “Glen” would be Gaelic for “valley”.
I’m making this statement from just a quick bit of research online so please research more on Scottish/Gaelic place names.
Let me know if that word is something other than Glen and I’ll see what more I can come up with.
I think it’s bosco gurin Switzerland
Have u found the artist
I looked up Bosco Gurin Switzerland and there’s a picture of the town….houses in a valley, mountains, same lovely church ….just like your painting.
I saw it , I can’t find artist, I found John barber but not John baber.
