    I inherited a Nippon vase but recently saw this one in a thrift. I loved the subtle colors and the poppies decoration. This vase has a tiny crack on the rim but is otherwise in excellent condition.

      As you may know, in 1921, the US mandated that all imports must be marked with the English equivalent of the origin country's name. While Nippon was the original translation, in 1921 everything had to be changed to how we know it today: Japan. Therefore, this piece should date to 1921 or older.

      Thanks collectors for loving this Nippon Vase. Do you collect Nippon. I often see the little plates but rarely do I see the big vases.
