This vase is about 10.5" tall and 3" diameter at the top and 4" diameter at the bottom. There are some markings on the bottom and very lightly scratched between two of them is "Made in Romania" which all but disappeared when I washed this vase. It is just above the 276...
There is some scuffing that I thought was from something white that it collided with, but I am now wondering if white is the color of the clay and the black is the finish? This black ware is not glazed, the color comes from the firing process. Here is a youtube video which shows the entire process:

It may be by Marginea. I am still researching this vase. Apparently, making this black ware is a Romanian tradition going back at least 300 years. Who knew!?

This was $3 at Goodwill today. I didn't even bother asking for my veterans discount.
