He reminds me of an armadillo with his long pointy nose! And very seasonal too this time of year, especially now with this cold snap we're having at the moment! He's a warm colour at least :D
Love polar bears, the gradation of colour is beautiful !~

Thank you Lauren for your wonderful comment about this polar bear, indeed it does have a very pointy armadillo-like nose, which we can attribute to the creative interpretation by this Swedish glassmaker. They just have to alter an animal's appearance to make their design different (not only Swedish makers but Murano & many others), which is cool to me as I like something a bit out of the ordinary. Love that warm orangy amber as well
Phil thank you for your terrific compliment for this bear, and isn't it great the way they can blend the colors in a gradient look, I love that feature in glass

One can't always go by what online sellers claim these days. Incorrect info gets copied over and over online to the point it only looks true. Most sellers don't bother to do any real research on their own, they just look for something that looks like what they have and copy what that seller is claiming not knowing if it's true or not, all they care about is making a sale. I know you won't find your item listed as Ambernia in any reference book.
Can you explain why you have LE Smith and Fenton items on your 'true amberina' post. Many foreign glass companies in many books call this type of glass amberina, why do you only write about Libbey and US glass, do you have personal experience with ALL amberina glass
