Happy Christmas Everyone!!
I've had this pair of majestic lions for a while and just now getting around to posting them. They're made of cast iron and the detail of these two majestic lions is just amazing to me. I would expect to see that in bronze, but not cast iron. These were cast at a foundry in Belgium no later than 10-20 years ago. They were extremely rusty when I took ownership of them, but I was able to clean them and polish them with a few coats of transparent wax. They stand nearly 12" tall and weigh 11.75lbs each.

These are amazing! your cast iron (and other metals) collection is impressive!
Heraldic lions are always collector faves, I love to see them here actually wearing the crown. I think here they are better in cast iron than bronze. I always think highly of cast iron as they are the best when done well !~
