In the 1990’s our parents “volunteered” the services of my brother and I to help one of there elderly friends who collected sports memorabilia move. After loading a living room full of Ethan Allen furniture we got to the pool table and baby grand piano. He had 3 rooms in back he used to store and display all kinds of sports memorabilia. What happened next surprised us both.He gave my brother all kinds of sports memorabilia and autographed baseballs from the Detroit Tigers and he gave me the same from the St Louis Cardinals. That’s were this poster from 1968 came from that’s the only one I’ve ever seen like it.I put the plate and egg along with a Cardinal in plexiglass underneath it.Thanks for looking.
Happy 2023 jb! Great poster of the SL Cards, my husband the baseball fan recognizes many of the players. I really love your cardinal bird items, the autumn leaves plate with the mated pair is just beautiful
Thanks Jenny and Happy New Years back at you.I had several autographed baseballs along with a football from a game between Notre Dame and USC.Every day the kids and I would go outside and play catch and when we lost a baseball we would grab a autographed one and carefully play catch with it.Once it hit the ground all bets were off as we would have to chase the dog around to get it back.We wore everyone of the baseballs out and by the time we were done with the football it was down to just the bladder. My wife had a fit at the time but later agreed that the real value in these was in all the fun we had playing with them. Thanks to dav2no,Coleman 1959,fortapache and Phil for the love.
