I picked this one to illustrate Sherman's use of a cat motif. I have seen similar pins by other companies. Weiss in particular along with Warner had similar cats and can be found on ebay on the web. I am not sure but Gustave may have sourced this design at one of the U.S. findings co. which show very few of Sherman designs. Sherman designs were not used in the states which is why so many seem to be one of a kind. Just amazing how someone can start collecting Sherman tomorrow and when they stop collecting you will see more than a few that are rarely if ever seen in the collecting world. Since the main book on Sherman came out, The Masterpiece Collection, they could write and picture a half dozen more books with rare pieces with new pieces which are found by most of the bigger collectors, no problem ! .....G
Thank God for the authors who I have persuaded to sell me some of the 'book pieces', which can be mainly on the spectacular side. They also started a "club' on facebook so to speak, on the internet where buyers and sellers can cater to a forum for that also allows members to sell a few peices every Sunday !~.
A most cherished Sherman Kitty. Yours is gorgeous in these blue hues. I have yet to find one so it is always a real pleasure to see other collectors.
Thanks Dawn, I have not been able to see what is online as it is not showing the image to me. First time that happened. I got my cat head pin at least 10 years ago. I liked the blue colours too.

The blue rhinestones are such a beautiful color that are in perfect proportion to the white rhinestones..I really like the shape of the cats eyes.Very nice

Thank you Jenni. Sherman also "apparently" made a different design also but I think only one main rhinestone so not really anything to mention. I would not want to buy one.

YES, jbingham95. Wish, I could show in person as it is nicer than the photo and looks perfect when you hold it in your hand as the pics are bigger than in real life !~
