Ornate ABP Hand Cut Heavy Glass Sugar Bowl w/2 Handles & Sawtooth Scalloped Rim (would a fire explain the warped shape?)
    an OLD stoneware mercury bottle.

All found at an estate sale over the summer. I've cleaned these and redid that display shelving. Can't fix the crystal, but its so beautiful anyways all purple and I'm wanting to assume it got too hot at some point? The mercury bottle came with an Arsnic bottle that's now sealed and glued over because there is still powder inside of it and we aint taking that risk... Ornate ABP Hand Cut Heavy Glass Sugar Bowl w/2 Handles & Sawtooth Scalloped Rim is what I'm going to assume is the glass.

I honestly just wanted to see what this site is about so I'm making this short n sweet. I need people who will nerd over things with me since my husband doesn't want to listen to me talk about it anymore. So if this works out then I'll start posting part of my mini museum that has been started in my house that my husband swears he's going to sell. haha. Yah right.

Fire might be a reason for the distortion in your bowl. Maybe from heat, not flame.

Welcome to CW. We would love to see your pieces and hear your stories.

A few tips for you.. you can have up to 4 pictures per post. It would be nice to see all 4 pictures if the same piece. Using a neutral background, (like a white poster board) when taking pictures helps us see more detail. Make sure your objects are square in the pictures. This helps us if we need to perform image searches to find similar examples or more information if needed?

Note that once a person adds comments, we cannot edit them, as seen above.

We look forward to a new member with interesting items!

DAV, so at some point I'll be pulling out my light box that we got from a local antique dealer when he started closing his doors. I've just been busy with a lot of other things so it takes some time and my husband to move his things from in front of the closet so I can get to it haha. But as time does on, I'll talk more about 1 at a time, but I wanna see what would interest others the most. Or whatever gets my eye for that day. Till then, it is going to just be the whole thing. Lol.
