Enamelled Floret Basket with Tadpoles and Enamel Decoration.
I hope I have this right ... 'Floret' glass was the term used by Harrach to describe their opalescent glass.
This basket has opalescent 'dots', applied contrasting light yellow glass that forms a handle, rim & tadpoles and later enamelled with two floral displays of roses. But is it Harrach or Riedel ???
Painted within the polished pontil 218 / A 340 1
Bought April 3 2022 at Sydney Wenty Antique monthly market.
L: 14.5 cm.
W: 19.5 cm.
H: 11.5 cm.

I love how the painting he did on the glass looks as fresh as the day it was made, so many images of beauty coming from this one piece !~
I'm not usually a fan of baskets, but this one is a gem.

very very nice, is everything so different, the numbers in the bottom seems to point to Harrach but the enamel is no very common, I think that perhaps the enamelled was done by Carl Hosch or Legras? Just for thinking in other directions....
