Antique Lao textile... Age and fiber content

I purchased this old textile perhaps 15 years ago as part of a lot of similar pieces. At the time I did not know the origin but have since concluded that this one and the others are from Laos. In terms of age, my suspicion is they date from the first half of the 20th century.... This is based in part on the evident aging as well as the old price tags which suggest they were purchased mid-century. Although the base appears to be cotton, I have come to believe that it might be silk similar to raw silk. The embellishment is almost certainly silk. I would appreciate opinions as to the age and comments on the fiber content as well as any other comments. Thanks!
